Description

The MX518 Legendary is a refresh of the original MX518 with an improved sensor, so unsurprisingly, its CPI range is much wider than the G5. Editorial independence means being able to give an unbiased verdict about a product or company, with the avoidance of conflicts of interest. If you have any questions regarding the Logitech MX518 mouse, feel free to drop them below in the comments, and I’ll do my best to answer them.

no limit to how many replacement pads they will give me for my g7, had about 8 now lolThe feet pads? The square contact on the PCB plate is the ground, which should correspond with the red-stripe side of the MX518 wire. I generally aimed for 30% infill, but most of the parts don't have thick enough features for that to matter. Side buttons are better than in old MX 518, but their position is not perfect and some other mice have them more upward which seems to be better solution. A lot of G400 fanatics have gone back to their original model because Logitech struck gold when they produced it, all those years ago.Although it doesn't come with replacement feet, third-party versions are available, but we haven't tested them. As an office mouse Logitech MX 518 G is a good mouse, in fact it’s much better than any usual office mouse. YOU, lucky reader, get to skip the ~12 prototype bases I made, and the weeks of CAD modeling, and just print the base. but with the MX518, the hand fits so comfortably over the mouse, it’s your hand that controls all the action.

These are great when playing games where one moment you need pinpoint accuracy then the next you need a bit faster pointer speed (eg, using a sniper then drop it for an assault rifle) – this can all be done in game and on the fly. Also, drill a tiny hole in the right foot of the battery cover, overlapping the hole on the right side of the baseplate. I do wish there was a wireless or Bluetooth version of this exact model, but they would most likely have to tweak the weight or size, and then it probably wouldn’t be as good. There weren't any software issues encountered during testing, but users online have reported various problems trying to use Logitech G HUB, including but not limited to startup issues, freezing, and connection issues with some devices. There's a small amount of flex when you squeeze the back, but it shouldn't be noticeable while using it.This video is what I followed to locate all the screws, you just have to completely remove the PCBs and other internals from the mouse.

DISCLAIMER: I've been having weird bugs with the magnetic cable, where it makes the G HUB software think my battery is at zero. Personally i also like the overall shape of the Kone, and also don't mind the 90% size of the pure compared to the XTD. Other than that though, it has performed extremely well over time but I will go into more detail about its performance after I talk about its specifications. saying they have shipped out a replacement and that I just need to cut the usb plug and send that back to them, awesome! However, for me, a wireless mouse is just not good enough for gaming – I can always feel a slight lag when playing with a wireless mouse, and once again, this could be the difference between living and dying; or more importantly, gloating or sulking. One issue I did run into a couple of years ago was that the mouse wasn’t keeping up anymore in terms of speed. Onto the feet, the feet are very durable and (Now) smooth, as it's been worn down gradually to very, VERY smooth as I play on a wooden surface. Both things are upgrade from the old MX 518 metallic bubbly finish and smooth rubberized plastic side grips.
